I understand that the main issue with Casey not attending are security related, but those aside I am actually conflicted should it have been a possibility of Casey attending.
A large part of me wants to punish her by making her sit through it and the resulting media circus that will inevitably be in full gear, whether the funeral is a “private” affair or not.
(Is that horrible?)
The other part of me feels that the memory of Caylee deserves more than having her murderer looking on and playing the part of “oh poor pitiful me, the grieving mother”, further victimizing little Caylee, as the world weeps for the nonsensical killing and soul of a innocent 2 year old toddler.
As of this date, no funeral date for little Caylee has been set. A second autopsy is to be performed as per the request of the defense. Upon its conclusion, little Caylee’s remains will be released to the family within a day or two.
On a related note, in addition to the Anthony’s already having and living off donations that were made to help aid in the search for little Caylee, the Anthonys are now soliciting donations for little Caylee’s funeral.
So, how do you feel?
