“Crushed Under Your Feet”

As I was reading Romans 16 today I cam across a very interesting statement that I had never really thought about in verse 20, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”  It doesn’t say that God will crush satan under His feet or the feet of Jesus but under your feet.  Here is another example of the power given us under Jesus Christ.  We have the power to crush satan under our feet.  Through that relationship we have with Jesus Christ we have some magnificent power available to us but we so rarely use it if at all.  If you are reading this and are not a believer or just haven’t made the decision yet you are in danger of being crushed by satan.  Without Christ you have no power of him.  I don’t know about you but knowing that I can crush it under my feet brings me great feelings and love for Whom I serve.   Christ is deserving of all glory for His power transcends the heavens and the earth and we as believers and followers of Him can share in that power to defeat evil all around us through Christ alone are we saved. Amen!
17I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. 19Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Matthew 7:7-8
